MEMORY LANE

It all started in a little station in Platteville, WI..."Tim's Deep Rock" was purchased by Tim Loeffelholz in 1977. Within a short time, Tim married Kristi Woodward and changed the name to "Tim & Kristi's KerMcGee"! In 1987 they sold the station in Platteville and purchased a small gas & mechanic station in Livingston! Along with mechanic hiredhand, George Winders, they ran "The Friendly Place" for many years...and they always dreamed of expanding to a convenience store.

In 1996 Tim & Kristi began the long process of building their dream store. They did their research and knew what they wanted not just for them, but for their customers! On August 11, 1997 they opened the doors to a much larger facility that was everything they had dreamed of for their ever loyal customers...more gas pumps, larger holding tanks, dual side Diesel pump, lots more room for products inside, and Piccadilly Pizzas & Subs available..."The Friendly Place, LLC"!

After 20 years with only minor upgrades & fixes at the convenience store, in 2017 Tim, Kristi, & their son Patrick expanded the business once again! It had become apparent for some time that our Diesel facilities were not up to par for fast & efficient transactions for our customers. We have been slowly purchasing the land adjacent to our original properties and in 2017 we put in a larger Diesel holding tank and added (2) high-flow Diesel pumps to our line up. Also, we did several other muched needed projects...expanded and added driveways, upgraded all pumps & registers, removed old & installed new Mobil road sign, etc., etc., etc.!

We do what we do every day for our Amazing Customers! Through fun times, hard times, slow registers, strong storms, long lines, and tough personal times...our Customers have been right there with us, fighting the good fight to help keep our 'Ma & Pa place' thriving in a world of 'big-box stores'.

From Our Family & Crew...Thank You To Livingston & All Our Customers!  :-)
